Coronavirus pandemic - how are you affected?

My local library is now fully open I believe, although I think they have some modifications. The thing is, I really want to go browse the library, but I just don't think it's a good idea. I've heard that it's actually less risk now than it was in JAN-MAR, but that doesn't mean NO risk. The library is usually very empty early in the morning on a weekday, and is probably more empty during the pandemic. But still, the point of browsing the library is to touch a lot of things that a lot of other people touched.

I'm a field tech working with drilling and blasting and covering a new facebook facility in the area. Usually I dont have alot of red tape to get onto jobsites but this one seems to be pretty strict cause of the client. We are not allowed to use the term social distancing. Doing so gets you removed from the site. The preferred term is physical distancing lol. I guess the word social hits to close to home for facebook.

That's awful, good luck. Several nursing homes in my general area have had outbreaks and it hasn't gone well.

Had a positive experience early-voting today. Everyone was wearing their mask and keeping a good distance from each other. The poll workers handed out disposable gloves so no one touched the voting machines with their actual hands so that was good.

Hopefully they keep it up for the actual election day so everyone stays safe!

Same here. I voted last week, and it was great. A short wait, pleasant poll workers, masks, tools (i.e., individually wrapped pens) to prevent me from having to touch the frequently sanitized voting machines. I felt perfectly safe, and I encourage everyone to go out and vote ASAP.

An hour or two is pretty common around here from what I've heard from the polling sites in town.

Fortunately for me one of the stations was set up in a rural elementary school so I got in and out in ten minutes.
