Hello, its been a long while since I posted in this forum. I have been guarding the irc channels since well before 2009. I now run a bridge/bot that connects the slack, discord and irc servers together. Slack is the most popular option at the moment followed by discord with irc being completely dead at this point until now. With this bot I am running (with permission of the server admins) you can connect via your preferred method and be able to participate. Slack is the most popular option as it is not blocked on a lot of school or work networks however with it requires an invite via email. Let me know if anyone has any questions or comments.

If you don't know, Slack is a messaging service which replicates a lot of the functionality of a typical IRC channel. There are iOS/Android/Windows apps and a very strong web site. Send me an PM with your e-mail!
