Racketboy Charity Auction 2017

Post by Anapan »

Image

This auction ended successfully, gathering $395 (Fragems added some extra cash). Winners have all payed up, and donors have been PM'd shipping details. I'll update this thread on details of the donation once I've briefed myself on the protocol for donations to GDQ.

This year our voted recipient is the Games done Quick Speedrun Marathon which in-turn will be donating the funds to the Prevent Cancer Foundation.

Fine print & details of the rules - Please read!
Every cent of the money bid on the items here will be transferred as a lump-sum during their January marathon (late-payments made after January 14th will be donated directly to the Prevent Cancer foundation upon receipt). As in previous years, donors will be responsible for shipping costs, unless arrangements are made ahead of time. Winners are expected to transfer the funds before January 13th 2018 and items are expected to ship to the winners before January 31st, 2018 so long as payment has been made. Payment must be received before I will instruct donors to ship their items. Payments are accepted via paypal @ rbcharity2017@gmail.com, tho I can accept other payment methods if necessary. For paypal payment, please make payment as "gift" to eliminate fees.

Thanks again this year to Ziggy587 for the logo art!

01: The Guide to Classic Graphic Adventures $15 - Fragems

Compiled by Kurt Kalata of HG101 fame, this is a definitive guide to graphic adventure games - it's in like-new condition.

08: Chibi-Robo Park Patrol DS $6 - Fragems

Complete - Like new.

09: Cronus Max Plus w/ Bluetooth 4 dongle $15 - Fragems

In fact this is a slightly older model flashed with Plus firmware - Not hub compatible. Use this to convert new systems' wireless or wired controllers to work on other systems or PC. It enables mouse and keyboard use in games for the new gen systems that would otherwise not accept them. You can use the software to reassign buttons and axis, program or download macros for advanced game functions and many other things. I upgraded to the newest model not realizing that the new firmware I flashed on this one made this nearly as capable as my new one. The software is intuitive and makes advanced functions very easy to configure.
I'll include the box it came in if I can find it...

10: GB Boy Pocket (Game Boy mono clone) & 4 mono games $15 - Fragems
Image:
GB boy is almost new, there are some microscopic scratches on the screen - ask for detail pic if concerned.
This is a fully functional clone of the original DMG Game Boy - I was unable to make any games behave strangely or any different than an original Game Boy system. It feels cheap and plasticy, but works great.
Games included are loose carts:
Ms Pac-man
Yars' Revenge (sticker a little worn looking)
Tetris Attack
Motocross Maniacs

If this is bid over $18 I'll throw in a good quality original DMG gameboy - EXT plug intact. Ask for details in this thread and I'll provide pics etc.

11: ToToTek GG 32M Flash Cart for Game Gear $15 - Sarge
Image:
ToToTek Link
Works Great, tho games must be flashed via Parallel/Printer port in Windows 9X - XP (I hear you can do it via a virtual machine with the right settings). A switch on the side allows SMS roms to play on Game Gear.

12: Belkin Nostromo N45 USB game controller $3 - Fragems
Image:
Link to Belkin site
Ugly controller is ugly.
Looks nearly unused. I plugged it in just now and everything works. I read the bottom "stabilizer bar" is removable and only there so Sony didn't sue. Has some mouse functionality...? Didn't test that, but that's probably why I bought this abomination - that and the near zero lag and all that Belkin claims. Ask in the thread for more details.

21: Google Home Mini $30 - Fragems
Image: A brand new Google Home Mini!

22: Sunset Riders for SNES $40 - dunpeal2064
Image: Loose cart only. Cleaned and tested, but label has some wear from use. Back label has a name written in Sharpie. No evidence of the cartridge yellowing.

23: Sennheiser RS120 On-Ear Wireless RF Headphones with Charging Dock $25 - Anapan
Image: Retail Link
I received these as a gift and hardly used them (less than an hour). They are like-new in the box with everything that came with them new!

I'm definitely late to the party here. I'll have a look around and see what I have for donations.
