Booting Up Content Again in the Near Future - Who's In?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

I got some ideas but I changed my mind.

If you can see the future while remembering the past, you may just have control of the present.

Just tell me what to write, Nick.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

After careful consideration, I've decided my first Racketboy article will be...

I wrote that one back in 2011.

No but seriously, I would love to have more freedom from the site's existing format to write much more specific content. I have this weird itch to chronicle mastering Street Fighter Alpha 3 for the GBA for instance. Or going glitch diving on Kid Icarus for the Gameboy.

Racketboy was an SEO dream back in 2010 but the Internet has changed so much!

I thought it might be nice to compile a list of articles people have suggested they would like to either write or see, so we can discuss it later, or people can maybe claim some and start writing! I'll write who suggested them next to them, it doesn't necessarily mean they plan to write it!

Loving this! I'm really digging the Raspberry Pi ideas and the related topics. I'm not experienced in that stuff other than the concepts, but I'd love to see somebody write something up.

My only request is that we start with a 101 type piece and then we can add more in-depth and specific pieces to complement it. Just send me a note if you're serious about contributing :)

I suggested reviews of retro-styled indie or modern games, and I can help coordinate that and edit, but I have not been able to play any games lately due to fatherhood crap, so I will be unlikely to be able to write any actual reviews myself.

^ I keep hearing this, and I'm fine with it, but why can't we also have reviews of retro games on the front page?

I certainly hope nobody is suggesting we can't. I like this idea, too.

Would scrapping/rewriting an existing out of date section be something of value?'

I might have it in me to re-invent the NGPC and Neo-Geo area since I've been deep enough into that for a time now.
