RIP Blake's father, I'm sure he was a good man. Life is short indeed, we all want to be remembered in a good light. I hope someday people learn to stop being mean to each other.

Best of Luck to Hinako. Growing up in Japan, now that can't be too bad.

I hope Hinako is given the chance to see the rest of her family as well. The loss of her father, and now her grandfather, doesn't magically mean that whole side of her family doesn't love her any longer.

Hinako has now made it around the sun 6 times! Blake/Breetai would be happy to know this. She is still safe in Japan. We have very little contact with her, but she knows that we love her. I am sure that her mother is giving her tons of love and taking good care of her.
This is what I'm up to (not asking for donations as I should have enough, but if you do feel inclined to donate, the money will go towards buying supplies to help create more sustainable and community learning projects in Thomassique, Haiti.): https://www.generosity.com/education-fu ... x/13734172
I'm sure Blake would've been coming with me if he could.
