This is ridiculous. As long as the site has a policy in place to allow copyright holders to request removal of content, there should be no complaint. I don't understand why this is allowed to happen, when you could apply the same charges against literally every file/image/video storage service in existence.

Love how only millionaires are ever arrested and charged for piracy, they never go after average joe working part time who downloads gigabytes of data everyday.

Well Megaupload, we had a good run. I enjoyed downloading material from you, though you often dealt in legally questionable domains.

p.s. If they can do this without SOPA and PIPA, imagine what they can do if those acts are put in to place.

Just curious why dont they go after bit torrent ? They have full HD movie for downloads.

I've never used Megaupload before. Did it serve any purpose beyond piracy?

I know many photographers who used it to distribute uncompressed images, since it was so cheap.
