The plot did drag in a couple places, but the musical selection is eclectic and fantastic, and when there's action going on it really heats up. It's also one of those rare Japanese works that really does a deep character dive and produces some unusual results.
Macross Plus is good OVA to watch. They're two version you can watch this show. Either the OVA or Movie edition. I would recommend to watch the OVA and if you like it, to go watch the Movie. They're people who don't like the Movie version which I understand but it have few things which help improve some of the scene.

The movie try to remove certain stuff to keep the pacing of the story moving smoothly as the OVA the pacing tend to be slow in some area. It also resolve some questions from the OVA in certain characters. Also, the ending sequence mostly for one of the character as the OVA end it too quick for the character but the movie make it more fitting I have to say. Either way, both are fine to watch and I watch the OVA 1st before I jump into the movie. The only issue I would say (if you own the American DVD release), is the quality of the footage which is basically VHS quality when I watch it. I think you can watch the Japanese release in Blu-ray now so, that isn't an issue now if you download but if you want to get a copy of the North American Blu-Ray release, don't expect it and just get the Japanese release.

Haven't touched the manga, but Gunsmith Cats and Riding Bean are a blast. Great stuff.

Yup, I can say that for it. I need to go watch Riding Bean as I own the Box set.
UPDATE: Yes, I just got myself a external Blu Ray player for my PC and now I can watch and rip my Blu Ray collection I have in my anime collection. This is going to be a long time till I manage to rip all my collection here.
Literally tearing up. She was my favorite female VA. I'm speechless.
So tragic. Aortic dissection is much more common in men, so one wonders if she even knew she had a problem. If she didn't, than she likely had no idea what was going on, which would make the whole scenario even worse. So damn sad.

I didn't watch Rurouni Kenshin but I have a feeling they're people who love the series here.
