I just got this badboy in the mail

very excited. It was difficult to find at a reasonable price, but I finally found a copy in Canada that was much cheaper than all the ones I had seen recently. It showed up minty and SEALED.

This book contains the first appearance of Deadpool!

This is part of my big 90's reading list that I assembled. I'm still in 1991. So when I finish up Infinity Guantlet I'll either move on to this, X-Men: Xtinction Agenda, or Spider-Man: Return Of The Sinister Six.

I am close to (i.e., 10-12 issues away from) finishing up my classic New Mutants set, and I still don't have New Mutants 98. Needless to say, it is a lot more expensive now than it was a few years ago... :?

Not surprised!

You COULD go with the reprint if you don't mind that the cover doesn't technically say New Mutants:

Nope. I'm a collector. I've got to have the real thing! (Compared to some of the games I am trying to track down, however, New Mutants 98 is both easy to find and a bargain!)

The real difficulty that I will have with finishing up this collection is determining what, in addition to New Mutants 1-100 and New Mutuants Annual 1-7 is actually out there. The team made its first appearance in an entirely different series, and I think that there are a lot of one-shot specials out there (many of which I do not exist until I find them in a box of comics at a flea market or antique mall).

try this

there's some interesting stuff there, like the Truth Or Death 3-issue mini series from 1997 for instance.
