Little round headed toy dudes with swappable pants

Post by Jrecee »

Does anyone remember these things? I used to have a bunch, all found at garage sales in the early 1990s. I remember them having little round heads that you'd put into these different "bodies".

There are soooooo many toys exactly like this that it's impossible to know exactly what you're talking about. Were they like characters of some sort or were there defining traits like the heads being completely out of proportion to their bodies?

Could it be Madballs action figures? They had a trigger that launched their heads, and the heads were interchangeable. These were dirt-cheap in the early 90s; I got my parents to buy me most of these during a trip to some department store.

Nope not those madball things, I remember my dad having a halloween mask of that baseball guy though and it used to scare the LIVING SHIT out of me. I think when I was little it looked more like a guy with a baseball embedded in the side of his face to me.

Here's a mock-up of what they looked like to the best of my memory's ability. I think sometimes there'd be a top and bottom too, like one guy had a cat hat or something.

I remember those guys - never owned any myself. Can't help with the name. But will verify they are not made up. And your drawing is spot on.

Madballs shouldn't have bodies.

Sorry to hijack the thread, but I LOVED Madballs. I still have the first run of the Madballs comics.

There is a Madballs videogame now. It's not too bad either.

I'll pass on Madballs with guns. They don't need no stinking guns, cause they're all sorts of M-A-D.
