Most vitamins you can buy are shit. They're not FDA regulated, so right off the bat you have to find a brand that you can trust. After that, there's the synthetic versus extracted versus whole food debate. Then after that there's the fact that you don't want to take a higher dose than your body can actually absorb because that will make your urine expensive. You're also wasting your money if you just pick and choose certain vitamins just because you heard something on the news. Like, "I take vitamin A every day because I heard that helps your skin." How do you know your body needs more vitamin A than what you're already getting from your diet?

I eat three or four gummy vitamins at work each day after going to he gym. I think they’ve improved my athletic performance marginally, but I’m probably just imagining it. Mostly, they’re an excuse to eat a few gu,my candies in the middle of the day.

If you're going to eat gummy candies already, might as well make them full of nutrients. Can't argue with that!

It's been a week and I've already lost a couple of pounds. Very encouraging.

It happens. Getting over an addiction isn't a one time thing, it's something you have to face all your life. But you have set it aside in the past, and you will do it again. Don't spend your time beating yourself up, just try to climb back on that wagon.

You got this, man.

I was a chain smoker, and I owe every smoke free day to this book.

Read it, take in what you're reading, and you will simply never smoke again. Sounds like bullshit? Yeah, I thought so too when someone gifted me this book. That's why I put off reading it for song long. But I finally read it in late July of 2017 and I haven't smoked since. I haven't even had anything close to a desire to smoke. Not only do I have no cravings to smoke, it's actually quite the opposite. I can't stand the smell of cigarette smoke now. This will be the best $7 you ever spent. And if you do pick up this book and want to chat about it, feel free to PM me.

Here's my post when I quit: viewtopic.php?f=15&t=19828&p=1105434#p1105434

Smoked/dipped for 20 years. Chantix and quit drinking worked for me 3 years later. Good luck. It's a bitch.

Thanks for the encouraging words everyone. I've been quit for two years but stress really got the better of me over the last few months and I dived right into it. I'm gonna get clear again. I dont want to be a lifelong smoker.

You can always try vaping 3 nic juice and slowly lowering it until you get to 0% and then puff on that to fight your urge to smoke. I started vaping instead of smoking because I knew I'd smoke actual cigs, and I use a low wattage vape with 22 nic (which is very high, but the low output means smaller hits, so the strength is comparable to like 10ish on a high output vape.). I use a suorin air, super reliable, pods are cheap and last along time.
