Did Pioneer ever make wristwatches?

So, my mom just gave me one of my Dad's old wristwatches today (It has that classic 80's styling with clean hard lines which I love.) and the face is branded with the a Pioneer logo. Now after looking online for a few hours I can't find any info on Pioneer watches other than some pioneer series watches from the 200's that were sold by Nat-Geo.

I'm guessing that the watch was made by the Pioneer Electronics Corporation that we all know and love as it has a face that is both Analog and Digital which to my knowledge was some pretty high end stuff for 80's watches. My only problem is that the font of the logo is similar to the older Pioneer logo from that era on our older AV/Hi-Fi stuff, but there's no pioneer tuning fork symbol next to it.

Can anyone possibly shed some light on this for me?

EDIT!: Here's a pic!

A pic? Curious of design inspired to Pioneer Laser Disc players.

Are you sure its really supposed to be Pioneer? There are watches with tuning forks in them. There is also the Omega watch company. The old Pioneer logo being a tuning fork and an omega symbol together.

Also, this thread is useless without pictures. :P

I said it didn't have an omega or tuning fork symbol which is what made me curious.

Also, pics uploading, give me a sec.....

Ah ok I misread. Also that looks like the later Pioneer logo. Hmm, any more info on the back?

Sharp looking watch, a promo from pioneer? Logo looks similar except for larger "P"compared to Player.
Watch almost same black metal finish too.

Unless my dad was Marty McFly then there's no way he could have gotten this watch after '93 for obvious reasons most of you guys already know. From everything my mom told me it's from the 80's but beyond that I don't know anything else.

As for the back all it says is:

Quartz
Stainless Steel Back
Water Resistant
**** (Serial No.)

That's all there is on the back in that order.

That's my thinking, the design is close to the LaserDisc player form '87 I have in my closet, but not exactly similar at the same time.
