Unlike most people going that direction, it sounds like you are doing it for good and noble reasons (i.e., you want to be a lawyer and you want to help people...not everyone going to law school wants to do either of those things). My recommendations for you, besides staying in school and working hard to get good grades throughout your undergraduate education, are: (1) to start prepping for the LSAT early, perhaps by taking practice tests and occasionally reviewing test prep material online; (2) start thinking about law school application timelines at the beginning of your junior year; (3) research and budget for law school application costs early; and (4) spend some time during your summer volunteering for a domestic violence non-profit, volunteering with a law clinic that helps victims of domestic violence, or interning (probably for free, unfortunately) at a reputable family law practice.

My girlfriend's mom is a judge, and I'm (hopefully) interning at the family law practice she worked at over the summer. I've got a lot of ins so I'll be taking full advantage of it, and I'm also lucky to not need to worry about school costs (for the most part, that is.) I also have a close friend who's going to be a GP doc who is going to tech and he wants to help with providing free services to some of my clients (obviously this is a long term plan), so even if I don't go with the non profit idea because of difficulty, we can work together on that and I can just financially support either a non profit or clients in need.

Obviously plans can change, and I don't know if I'll even make enough money to do a lot of that stuff, but of course I also hope to make bank and be able to help people out who had to go through situations similar to mine. Right now I have a lot of loft ambitions and goals but I have enough support to make these things seem possible.

Well, I haven't posted much lately. Been pretty busy, but it's a good busy. I also have had some awesome stuff happen in the last week to my family.

First, my stepbrother and his wife had a girl, so I am now an uncle.

Second, one of my brothers just got married, so I have a new sister-in-law.

Between that, wedding stuff, my birthday, visiting my mom, my other brother moving to Atlanta, car stuff, and the usual mix of comedy shows with some radio work thrown in, February has been absurdly busy.

Thanks, Prfsnl, I really appreciate it. It's not all been great due to some car stuff, but in general the events of this February were great.

I had an appointment at the Denver Franklin Kaiser offices today.

Mrs. Armitage and I stopped at Voodoo Donuts which is just a few blocks away.

:( : Got a call from my liver doctor that my gallbladder needs to come out so that's annoying.

So that old DOS game is like rare on CD? I remember a year ago trying to get a complete boxed up CD DOS game and that took a stretch to pull off without being hammered over it so I get what you mean.

The CD is pretty hard to find like a lot of shareware of the time since there was never a retail release outside of random shovelware companies putting the shareware version on shelves.

Every time I came across it the person wanted to drain me of all my blood in exchange for it which is not something I was willing to do for a game that's been released free. Luckily I only had to part with $5.

Well in the end, good you did the right thing. No need to feed a sponge when you can be patient and win in the end, especially for a freeware (now) game of all things.

:D back on a normal sleep schedule after being out of one for months.

:? And :D Have work now, which I'm glad for, but after I finish this specific job I think I'm going to have to pull out of it. A friend of a family friend does remodeling and I'm helping him out, but the work is super hard on my back. Leaning over, holding things over my head, putting weight on the crowbar, etc. The muscles in my back are already screwed up from a previous job, and I don't want to make that worse.

 Don't know how to work with family in quitting the remodeling job. It's temporary until I get a more permanent job, but they are still really glad to see me have anything at all. I have another odd job I need to do after this one, but past that, I do t know if I can avoid the remodeling job. My Dad doesn't understand the level of pain it puts me in, and my Grandpa doesn't know about my back problems, so it'll be rough to figure out how to get out of it. I guess I need to find more odd jobs to do besides it.
