Oh my, things really piled up for you today.

Don't get any poop in your surgical wounds. That's really the only useful advice I can give, sadly.

That’s um, pretty hard to do given where the surgery was, sadly. I’ve got Crohn’s disease so it’s a recurring abscess issue. Probably TMI

That is, without a doubt, a fucking shitty day.

:? I don't have any right to be mad or upset, but I am. This happens every time, and it tears me up, but I have to go through, because otherwise it means being alone. Sometimes I think it's easier, to be alone, but I remember how much worse it was then and suck it up, because this pain is less. But this pain makes no sense- I shouldn't even feel hurt, because I don't have the right. I shouldn't hope or expect what I do, but I do anyways, and that's the issue- I can't let go of feelings I should smother out with the pillow like an abuse spouse.

FYI- I've officially set up counseling appointments, so that base is covered on these kind of posts from me. Just need to vent on this one, and this is the only place I can do it for this thing.

Vent away, man. That's what friends are for.

I found a house I really liked today, so I'm going to put in an offer as soon as my pre-qualification stuff is done. Hopefully I'll be a homeowner soon. :D

Glad to hear you're seeking help, FD. Keep at it; don't get discouraged. I believe in you.

My last year of college and first years out on my own were pretty darn lonely. I was lucky to meet my now spouse when I did. I have the feeling if I hadn't I would have been a pretty lonely guy for a lot longer than I was.

But everyone has their own trajectory. Sometimes it's about being proactive, or changing your environment, and sometimes it's just about getting lucky. Though it's hard to get lucky when you don't put yourself out there. And that's the hard part, putting yourself out there, because rejection hurts like a bitch, and it leaves a wound, and it's a strong disincentive to keep trying.
