I already had Prime 3 when it came out, but picked this up to get Wiimote controls for the first two. Plus, the case is snazzy.

so do you guys think that this will be one of those expensive rarities in the future?

speaking of that, since gaming is basically EVERYWHERE and it has grown exponentially since the 70s/80s/early 90s will there even be rare/expensive games in the future? im not talking about +/-100 bucks or so, but games that go for a few hundred and up.
if you took a shit, please put it back

Bought it the day of release and its a great collection of some of the best games ever made. There were probably a million + of these pressed and wouldn't worry about the rarity factor. Theres really no such thing as rare game these days. Atlus said Devil Summoner 2 was going to have a very "limited" print run and I still see launch copies sitting behind Gamestops shelfs all the time. Cheaper then what I paided on launch day might I add.

Wasn't there some talk that these Metroid ports actually looked worse than their original Gamecube versions?

I remember reading that somewhere

There were some graphical features that got removed. The most notable one is that the heat distortion that comes off the barrel when you fire the power shot a lot is no longer there for technical reasons. As I understand it, it was prerendered instead of being calculated on the fly, so it wouldn't work with being able to move your cannon around freely. It's not like the textures or models were downgraded during the transition.
