I usually text them to myself. Makes more sense and seems faster.

Then just plug the phone into the computer and transfer them. I dump mine about once a week to be safe. They show up on a Mac like an external hd so it's pretty easy. It's also super easy to put a get tons of music on it compared to an ipod since you can take music from any computer instead of being tethered to an iTunes account.

Why text it to yourself or email it to yourself? Take the picture and its saved to your gallery, plug it into your computers USB and set it for disk drive, transfer the file over. Or just use the phone to upload it to an online album....

I have no idea where that picture was taken, but it's a very nice looking location.

Now I really need a smartphone. I hate iTunes, damn it takes forever managing tons of music on it.

Why not just setup Picasa on your phone (via Google+) to automatically upload any photos you take? That's what I do, and it works like a charm.
