Well, I can tell you right off the bat that there are some...interesting design choices in the beginning. I'll go into further detail as I play, but one thing I would definitely recommend is NOT starting a party here. Port a party from earlier games or don't play, because the game literally starts off with ethereal enemies that can't be hit with basic gear.
I'm told that there are some backward steps too, like the game relying heavily on one-way doors, spinners, and stat-draining enemies to provide a challenge. We'll see how I feel as I progress; I recall Rust Monsters in previous titles, and they're the bastard children of asshat DMs, so let's see if this game goes full cheap.
