Any Good MMO RPGs on PS3??

by Soldier Blue Wed Oct 11, 2017 1:42 pm

Hey guys, I'm not too knowledgeable on this subject but I wanted to try and get into MMOs again. I only have a PS3 though so my options are a bit limited. I understand Final Fantasy XIV should be playable somehow because it might share the same server as the PS4 one, but I don't know too much on how to get started. And if anyone has any other suggestions on other MMOs still being played let me know. Ideally I'd like to get a group going here..

Support for the PS3 version ended before the latest expansion came.

Support for FFXIV on PS3 is going away - Stormblood was not released for it, and that version is getting entirely cut off in March I think (they're offering a free upgrade to the PS4 version through the end of the year for PS3 players). They're not leaving last-gen in its own bubble like Destiny did.

I think DC Universe Online is still going on the platform, maybe some of the others, but I think more have targeted the PS4 if they're on Playstation platforms. Relatively speaking though, Windows is a much better platform to look at in that regard. Plenty of older titles that can work fine on integrated graphics are still going, and the bigger titles are pretty scalable either way.

Okay thanks for the replies. I guess I'm a bit behind the times then.
