Yes, I was a part of the Kickstarter. Done by the Inxile group, so same who just did Wasteland 2. I believe they have writers like Brian Rothfuss and Chris Avellone to help contribute, and will be in the same general style as the original Torment.

For a narrative focused game like this I think early access is 100% not worth it. I got access to the alpha systems test and the beta thanks to my backer level and I've only does the alpha systems test, since those are very small snippets of gameplay in completely isolation with no narrative consequence. But once it got into more complete stuff I backed off, as I didn't want to diminish the eventual game experience.
