Skipping with start is nice, too bad it only applies to your party's S.Moves, not enemy special moves and not anyone's magic.

Still, it solves the random encounters issues. All magic except healing magic basically sucks anyhow.

Ice magic is pretty solid damage for low SP; it's great for bosses with Fina if they don't resist ice. And even though player magic is pretty horrible all that enemy magic still gets cast.
