Ys: Memories of Celceta

Post by BoneSnapDeez »

STOKED.
AS.
HELL.

Released in Japan in two days. No North American release date that I've heard yet... probably another XSEED localization?

Also, (according to Wikipedia) this isn't a remake of either previous Ys IV like everyone originally thought. Instead this is a new (and canonical) Ys IV.

THERE ARE THREE YS IVs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's on Vita.

I bought one near launch, but don't have any games yet. This is the one I'm most excited about.

Haha it's all good man.

One thing I love about the Ys series is that they haven't tried to make a "AAA" title yet. Everything is old-school and usually on handhelds.

Yeah, I think it's supposed to be "Celceta: Sea of Trees", but "foliage ocean" is much better.

If you wanna be technical, there are four, counting Ys IV: Mask of the Sun -A New Theory- on PS2. :P

Anyway, I haven't really paid too much attention to this game since the info first started to get leaked. I'm just... kinda weary of Ys games with party systems now. Really hoping this doesn't become the new standard for the series.
