Okay Falcom now only develops for the PC and Sony consoles. You will not see a 3DS game, most likely.

And Falcom had little to do with the DS port of Ys Book I & II anyway. Development was farmed off to another company who ported the PC version of Ys I & II with some heavy modifications to make it playable on a DS.

Picked up the Silver Anniversary Ed a few days ago and just got to playing last night!

The gameplay is so crisp and fun, the story is straight forward and clear, pulling you right in to the mix. Adol is trying to restore his memory from the events that took place in Celceta. The action battle elements are spot on and swapping characters on the fly adds much depth and strategy to the fighting. First impression is this could be the Best Ys game made so far, story wise, graphically and control wise. 9.5 out of 10 in my book!

This games tight and you will notice the improvements all over the place in this title.... Run, RUN NOW and get it. 8)
If you can see the future while remembering the past, you may just have control of the present.

I got the Silver Anniversary Edition in the mail yesterday.
It's going to be a LONG TIME before I get around to playing it!

Got this today. Silver Anniversary Edition. It's absolutely beautiful. I was expecting packaging similar to The Oath in Felghana limited edition, but this goes way above and beyond. Nice job XSEED.

Oh and I won't get to playing this for some time either. Lemmings and Legend of Heroes should fill my December gameplay quota pretty nicely. And I also want to replay Ys I-III before starting this one. 8)

lol so am I the only one playing it?!?!

game is fun!! I knew absolutely nothing about this game prior,

other than it was an Ys game, that it's coming out, and I'll buy it regardless.

gameplay is same as Ys 7 so it's real fast and a ton of fun!!

story telling is terrible lol. Worse than Ys 7.

while Ys 7 has a party hanging around you always speaking for you, Celceta actually makes Adol talk... >_<

I miss the games when Adol was always alone and never said a thing but was spoken to instead.

lastly the music... the town music is real generic, while field and dungeon music is not the series' best, but still good.

but overall still a great game! I'm 13 hours in, taking a break this week, but definitely picking it back up and hope to beat it this month!

Any word on a PC port of this game in English? I would love to play it (and Ys 7 for that matter) but the purchase of a Vita is not looking good for me in the foreseeable future...

I'm almost positive Ys Seven is coming to the PC. Probably just in a digital format for us in the US. Check out this Chinese version though. 8)

Too early to tell if Celceta will come to the PC...
