Wow, seriously sad, but that's really cool to see she was that into Dragon Quest.
I have a ton of games listed at my store's site: Super Smash Video Games

Aww. That's a shame.
I'm interested to know how a 76-year-old got into gaming, though.

except it's being shitspammed by retards and /v/ is a cesspool anyways. It's almost spitting on her.
So who wants to do the Edith Jeter Memorial Playthrough of Dragon Quest VI with me?

Re: 91 year old woman does not live to see Dragon Quest VI
Judging from the comments on all these blogs that picked up the story it seems Edith will be the most popular name for each parties' "hero" come this February. Also there is a movement to purchase the game and place it on her gravestone it seems. Now that it's gone viral (twitter search "dragon quest", this story is all over the place) I want to see if any family members get in contact with any of these sites. Fifteen years is a long time. What other games did she get into? The fact that they mention video gaming as one of her main hobbies in the obituary leads me to believe she was still mashing buttons fifteen years on.

LOL!

I live in Washington, and would just like to point out that Nintendo's US headquarters are in Redmond, which isn't all that far away from Puyallup. Also, we get thinly-veiled advertising for video games like this in the local news a lot around here, though it's usually from Microsoft, which is also headquartered in Redmond. I'm not saying that the original letter isn't legit... Just that this Urban Champion-e guy might be involved with Nintendo, and that Nintendo could be using this deceased lady's letter as viral marketing.
