I just disassembled my DC console to put it in a 3rd party clear shell and this small, square rubber piece fell out. Does anyone know where it is supposed to go?

Figured it out. Opened up another one and there were 2 of them sitting on the bottom shielding.

I'd recommend you put that back.

That's a thermal pad, right?

That kinda looks a little like a thermal pad, but it could just be an insulated spacer to prevent conductive parts touching.

Yeah, I don't know if it's a thermal pad or just for isolation, but I definitely recall these. I took apart a couple of Dreamcasts not too long ago and remember them sitting on top of ICs. Mine never unstuck though.

That's my favorite part of the movie. The scream when he turns into the skeleton, it gets me laughing every time.

Dude it gets me every time as well. I was in hospital room with my buddy, his wife was in labor, and we were glued to the TV waiting on that part

It's going to be my go to "shock GIF" for our repair & mod threads now :D
