You've got the Capcom crush like I do. Man they were just so good to the Dreamcast! I've started my top 3 a couple of times and was having a really hard time not selecting all Capcom games as my favorites. With that said here is what I've been able to come up with.

1. Power Stone
2. Code Veronica
3. Marvel vs Capcom 2 / SF3 Third Strike

Shit, I guess it was harder than I expected.

Crazy Taxi
Garou Mark of the Wolves
Cannon Spike
Virtua Tennis

I know that when someone says best rpg for dreamcast, Shenmue, Skies of Arcadia, and Grandia II all come to mind. But I suppose just the style of Silver mixed with its slighty simpler gameplay is what I like. The pre-rendered backgrounds are something that are just kinda visually tranquil. I can't really justify why I like it so much honestly, I just do.

No shame in liking it, I was just curious about the appeal. I'm a big fan of Record of Lodoss War for the Dreamcast personally, though I realize that wouldn't likely crack too many top RPG lists.

Silver for me was a fav because I like pre rendered environments, the story was pretty mature and really good, liked the action RPG style and to me appealed as a unique obscure gem for a system I never really dove into. (I'm a Late adopter during racket era:))

Lodoss war was another fun game, again love isometric hack n slash dungeon crawlers, the ip allured me to giving it a try. I think it's kinda hard game and the demon pigs or whatever they are make annoying sound effects but all in all an exclusive game I sought after on the system.

I almost never buy, nor am I really attracted to known hyped games, so these as well as EGG were fantastic for what I wanted from my dreamcast. Had I got one around launch I would of had a different list I'm sure but jumped very late with a taste for the more hidden gems.

I just realized two of mine were Capcom as well. They had a stellar run on the Dreamcast which isn't surprising I guess when you consider all of their late 90's/turn of the century arcade hits. It wasn't all arcade ports on the Dreamcast though. Capcom was really in a groove.

Capcom was great on the Dreamcast but the PS2 and GameCube and to some degree Xbox all had great Capcom games as well. The Dreamcast just got some that didn't appear elsewhere.

The Dreamcast really continued what Capcom was doing on the Saturn. One has to think they had a good relationship for them, and it's also helpful that the Dreamcast seemed to be such a capable 2D machine.
