Mega Visions - New Sega Magazine (Kickstarter campagin)

Post by Reprise »

Hey guys,

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/32 ... ga-magazin

Sorry, I guess I'm turning into the Kickstarter whore, but for those interested, Sega Nerds have launched a Kickstarter campaign for a brand new Sega magazine they're launching called Mega Visions.

I miss magazines and I miss Sega, so I'm pretty excited for it. I hope they reach their funding. They seem to have a good team of experts on board too.

I was into it until I realized it's all digital. I would have backed the hell out of a physical Sega mag.

I understand it's tough as hell to support a paper magazine these days. But at the same time, I simply don't understand the point of a digital "magazine". So it's interactive. Why not just make a website? They appear to be doing so anyway for forums. What's different exactly?

Sorry, I don't mean to crap on it. More Sega is always good, you ask me.

I'm afraid it's simply lost on me, but I wish them well.

I agree physical would be better. Still, I'd take digital.

They did say they'd explore the option of doing physical if more funding is achieved. That claim is a bit vague though, as they don't mention it as a specific stretch goal.

Well, it was funded, so you can always just buy the first issue when it launches and if it's not for you, you won't have wasted too much money.
