Dusted down the old dreamcast the other day and I havent been able to put it down sincenot been near the Ps3. I got hold of a VGA box the and set it up last night, great picture but no sound when I plug 2 x RCA leads from the VGA box to the RCA L/R on the back of the tv, theres three L/R inputs on the back and I dont get sound from any, also connected via the 3.5 mini jack connector on the VGA box.
I only get sound when I hook it all up to my amp, sounds great but I dont want to run it this way all the time, would like the sound coming through the tv like it does when using the scart.
Using a J-NTSC console plugged in to a samsung LCD panel.

However on my 2006 720p RCA LCD TV I get "unstable signal" when hooking up my DC via VGA. Is there a way around this? IT works perfectly on my 22" widescreen LCD monitor.
A chance your HD may not support the lower 640x480 resolution.Rayek wrote:Just ordered a VGA Box from Racketboy, was super excited to see it in action, but I think I got a broken one.
The box's LED fades out after I switch on the DC, the audio is working fine, but no signal, A/V or VGA, can be read from the box. I'm guessing since the audio doesn't have to be 'transmogrified' in some way it just works, while the display doesn't.
I'm wondering what to do here. If this is an easy enough fix, I might try it, but I'd much rather just get a new one sent to me. I emailed the store and have not yet received a
reply. I'm hoping I don't have to ship it back.

PS. Was I supposed to get the VGA box in it's own box? or is it generally shipped loose?
