So a modded Dreamcast can play NeoGeo CD games, can it read the controls? makes me curious to know what button would belong to what button from Dreamcast to NeoGeo, I can imagine that being a big mess.
no modding, no bootdisc, no retail neocd games (mostly).
Neo4all/CD is an emulator. You can place the emulator as well as the ISO on the same disc if there's enough room. Or you can just have an emulator disc and a bunch of burned NEOCD games.
Some retail games have worked apparently, but none of the ones that I've tried on various consoles do.
You can map whatever buttons you want, but there's not support for C+Z buttons.
I'm not TOO surprised, considering all the cross-platform Neo Geo and Dreamcast shooters in the last few years, but it's still neat to see all the same. Any slow down would drive me crazy though.

What is the name of the bootdisc? It has to be some sort of disc with emulator code because Neo Geo CD can't run natively on a Dreamcast.
Googling around, I suspect that you have this: http://chui.dcemu.co.uk/neo4all.html Alternative Open Source NEOGEO/CD emulator for Dreamcast console by Chui & Fox68k.

so what does that mean? I mean, they describe it a swap-disc. I'd just like to know if you can swap a retail disc. That seems really appealing to me, from a collecting standpoint.
