That definitely would be an awesome guide. And yes, my original question was what homebrew OTHER than Sonic Megamix.
Another good guide one generally be good Sega CD games that are actually worth checking out. I've found a few myself, surprisingly. Just to name a few that some people may not be aware of:
-Samurai Shodown (best console version of that era without getting a Neo Geo)
-Eternal Champions: Challenge From The Dark Side
-Double Switch (if you like the whole FMV thing, I think this is cooler than Night Trap)
-Road Rash
-Lords of Thunder
-Battlecorps
-Fatal Fury Special
-Flink
