PlaySEGA Joypads are here!

Post by Barry the Nomad »

Just got mine today! It's solid and just as good as the Saturn pad.

That's good to know. What do you have to do to get one of these again? The Sega website says it comes free with a 3 month membership. But I can't find any way to sign up for anything except the free trial, and no information about what that costs.

Just signed up for PlaySEGA! I may mess around with the games a bit, but the joypad alone looks to be more than worth the subscription fee! Great review!

I still can't see anything from that link other than marketing fluff.

How much does the 3 month subscription cost?

Yea, it just prompted me to try the 10 day trial.

EDIT: Here's where the pad is

You'll want to register for the free trial, then you have the option of choosing a membership plan. I believe my 3 month membership and pad was just under $20.

There should be a link on the page that says "My VIP". I clicked that to sign up for the three month subscription.

Cheers for the info.

I've just (like 2 days ago) bought the ultimate Sega collection on PS3 along with a Saturn pad for USB/PS3. I'm not sure if going for Play-Sega is worth the money at this stage, although I certainly would like to put some dollars towards Sega, considering how often I emulate their games for $0 (which I have no moral qualms with, as long as I can reset my karma later by buying retro collections and online stuff like this).

Perhaps after the madness of Christmas I'll sign up for a bit.
