hi! long time listener first time caller.
anyway, i'm having a bit of an issue, and i was wondering if you guys would be able to help me. the CAG forums are a little lacking in this area so i thought i'd just copy and paste and bring the topic over here. thanks a ton!
so i have like 40+ saturn games, most of them are common and nothing exceedingly special, but i have a limited amount of shelf space and i want to break down my games into three categories:
A) tier 1. the kinds of games that defined the system, stand the test of time, totally kick ass, and are still fun to play. may or may not be system exclusives.
B) tier 2. the types of games that are mildly entertaining and hold a special place in my heart for whatever reason or another. not necessarily ground breaking and probably multi-platform as well.
C) tier 3. the rest. you know, like SF: The Movie (which i don't own)
so yeah here's the list, let me know if you guys have any questions or whatever because i value everyone's opinion on here. i'd like tier 1 to be displayed prominently, tier 2 to be picked and chosen from, and tier 3 to be packaged away in a box. i'll let you know what i decided to display and what got packaged away after i get a few replies. thanks.

My 2 Cents ...
T1 = classic, genre or system
T2 = great game ... still fun
T3 = borderline, depends on your preferences
T4 = pack neatly and store at nearest Goodwill
NP = never played these
T1:
Daytona USA
Galactic Attack
NiGHTS Into Dreams
Panzer Dragoon
Sega Rally Championship
Virtua Fighter 2
T2:
Astal
Choro Q Park ... not a classic, exactly, but best replay value of any Saturn racing title
Christmas NiGHTS
Croc: Legend of the Gobbos
Drift King Syutokoh Battle '97 ... see Manx TT (good graphics, average play)
Gungriffon
Gungriffon II
Legend of Oasis, The
Madden NFL '98
NHL All-Star Hockey '98
Rayman
Saturn Bomberman ... a multi-player classic
Sonic Jam
Sonic R
Wing Arms
Winter Heat
World Series Baseball '98 ... a classic by the time it got to be "Greatest Nine '98: Summer Action"
T3:
Bug Too!
Clockwork Knight
Darius Gaiden
Daytona USA: Championship Circuit Edition ... improved graphics, but lost feel of original Daytona
Pro-Pinball
Sim City 2000
VR Golf '97

here's what I did:
displayed:
Astal
Baku Baku
Croc: Legend of the Gobbos
Darius Gaiden
Daytona USA
Galactic Attack
Gungriffon
Legend of Oasis
Madden NFL '98 (best football game, good fun for my non-saturn playing buddies when they come over)
NiGHTS Into Dreams
Panzer Dragoon
Pro-Pinball (i play it all the time, good time-waster)
Rayman
Robotica (until i pick up powerslave and quake, that is)
Saturn Bomberman
Sega Rally Championship
Sega Touring Car Championship
Sonic Jam
Tetris Plus (multi-player!)
Virtua Fighter 2
VR Golf '97 (again, good time-waster, plus i love golf games)
Wing Arms
Winter Heat
World Series Baseball '98
and i went ahead and put all of my jap games up since i've only got 5, and Christmas NiGHTS.
boxed up:
Andretti Racing
Battlesport
Bottom of the 9th
Bug Too!
Clockwork Knight
Daytona USA: CCE
Gex
Hi-Octane
NHL All-Star Hockey '98
Rise 2: Resurrection
Robo-Pit
Sim City 2000
Sky Target (never liked this one, always seemed a bit clunky to me)
Sonic R (i've always hated this game, too)
Virtua Fighter Kids
Virtual Hydlide
VR Virtua Racing (doesn't make sense to have this out with Daytona and Sega Rally)
World Cup Golf: Professional Edition
and the two samplers.
thanks for your input! also, racketboy, thanks for the awesome saturn articles. if this site were only about saturn games i think i wouldn't be disappointed, either.
