I don't see this going outside Japan. It's probably for the better though.

Even if they wanted to release it here in the USA, too many people would get pissed off and complain, ultimately forcing Sega to remove them.
Is the name "Toirettsu" a play on the words "toilet" and "lets"?

Actually, I think that's just "Toilets" romanized. I'd need one of our Japanese-speakers to confirm though.Inazuma wrote:Even if they wanted to release it here in the USA, too many people would get pissed off and complain, ultimately forcing Sega to remove them.

Re: For some reason I don't think Sega will export this
I think before they release these things in bars or wherever they plan on installing them, they should learn how to aim first.
Holy crap, there's more piss on the floor around the urinal in Japanese restrooms than in the ones I've been to back in the US, even counting the packed bars and clubs I've been to. Despite most J-urinals being extremely low targets. XD
On an unrelated topic to this gem of a game SEGA's created, what's up with general men's room design in Japan anyway. I mean, is there just a blatant disregard for the man-code? Urinals so close and most often than not without partitions, that you can't even leave a buffer urinal between you and any other guy beside you.
Oh and if that wasn't troublesome enough, most men's restrooms are door less / 90 degree door partition-less and can be easily seen from any passersby. Its really difficult for an already bladder shy guy like myself to just bear it for the kids and ladies trying to get their business done.
I think my worst experience had to be about 5 years back when I was at a graduation nomikai with the graduating class at the university I was studying abroad at for a year. The restroom was unisex so I got walked in on a couple of times. I'm a big puss I guess, but that's just the way I am. Bladder shy to the max.
Things are getting slightly better in Japan though. Most women avoid unisex restrooms like the plague, not because of the urinals but more to do with seat contact and lack of aim from the guys they have to share the restroom with. Newer buildings and establishments space things out better than before, but its still lacking partitions for the most part. Newer establishments are better with privacy too, giving that 90 degree turn before entering the restroom so you can't just look right in as you walk by. If you stick to large metropolitan cities like Tokyo and Osaka you probably won't experience much of what I have now. So much modernization going on now. Maybe they're starting to value privacy a bit more?
Anyhow sorry for the thread derailment. I figured this would be a good time as any to compare notes on this unusual experience of mine. What do all you other Japan Racketeers think about the state of restroom privacy in Japan from your own experience?

I've heard and seen non Sega branded piss games in bars in the US already.

I was reflecting on how some think video games affect real life situations. Now imagine the drunk leaving the restroom game urinal pulling a Conker Squirrel in the bar.
