Re: Advice on spray painting a particular Dreamcast part?
Light sand off, tape off masking and just a light pass with Krylon Plastic Paint. The triangle is the press point for closing the door probably why discolored over the years. Another option as a quick custom is shiny color wide tape that covers entire triangle with one pass, trimmed with blade after...

Re: Best Console Ports of Donkey Kong?
Good thing most tube TVs stand on their side so easily Even so, how many people are willing to TATE their CRT every time they wanna play? Especially if you own something 27" or larger... They aren't easy to lift. A lot of later CRTs (with flat screens) had very boxy cabinets, making it easier ...

Re: Best Console Ports of Donkey Kong?
I'm pretty confident that the new Switch port is the best one now. It has three different versions of the arcade game: original, "later", and international. Original is the original Japanese release that apparently has some bugs. The "later" version is the bug fixed Japanese ver...

Re: The Retro PC Thread
I honestly never researched if XP will recognize SATA or if the PCI-e video cards would even have drivers for XP or even earlier Windows versions. My whole thought process was sticking to things I was fairly certain would play well with older versions of windows. I want to build this for older game...

Re: Wii Lens Cleaning advice
So does that mean I should rule out a general-purpose cleaning disc? Yes, I think we can rule that out now. Sorry I didn’t think of CD incompatibility sooner. That leaves you with the Official Wii cleaning kit, which is getting hard to source these days, or a replacement Wii/WiiU. If you can’t find...

Re: Wii Lens Cleaning advice
I, unfortunately, had the exception: http://www.racketboy.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=26498 I have a backup Wii, too. I'd probably have more, but I'm rarely searching the wild these days and eBay prices are whacked. But even so, the lens can apparently get pretty dirty juts with normal use. ...

Re: Wii Lens Cleaning advice
I lean towards no to any laser lens cleaning device. When I replaced the laser assembly on mine, the inside was immaculate, no dust at all. If a cleaning disc or cardboard cloth cleaner is inserted, that is physical contact on the sensitive tracking of the head. Too risky considering inside of the c...

Re: Connecting other systems to a PS One lcd
I ordered a PS One with lcd primarily so I can play other systems on the lcd. It has a 3.5mm plug on the back for AV out. I tried ordering a 3.5mm male to female rca and connecting my N64 to that and it didn’t output to the screen. I think I just need a particular adapter to do this and I’ve seen p...

Re: Pinball Arcade loses the Williams license
So many Williams pinball tables going away!. Doubtful if any will be available as archive backup for previous purchasers should a game console or PC fail or lose files after the end date.. At least some of the tables are on disc for older consoles.
