Re: Game evangelism: Unsung, weird, or bad games you promote

I have over 200 Atari 2600 games and I'd place ET in the 5/10 range. Playable but not great. There are many better Atari games, but also so, so many that are worse. The "worst game ever thing" is an internet meme. agree totally. If you know what you're doing, it's definitely playable. Not...

Re: Random Gaming Thoughts

when the PS2 launched, I was 20 and in college, living in a small apartment with no cable TV. So the added DVD player capability of the PS2, coupled with the video rental place 10 mins away made it an up-sell for me at the time. It was basically, "I can buy a Dreamcast AND a DVD player, or I ca...

Re: Atari VCS Review

also, I feel like I saw some posts elsewhere of people installing the Atari OS on their own PC's/laptops. Is the Atari OS freely available? (I'm not actually sure). If so then that means you can have this "console" for free if you have some spare hardware sitting around, right?

Re: Game evangelism: Unsung, weird, or bad games you promote

A Nightmare On Elm Street is legitimately one of my favorite NES games of all time. Not in a so-bad-it's-good way. I actually think it's a way better game than people realize because they give up on it too quickly. The music is amazing, the fact that every level has two versions (dream and awake ver...
