Re: Direct me to the drama please

If it really is a case of not having enough new blood, then yeah I do think more articles of significant depth are the way to go. It's good for search. While it is possible for a forum thread to rank, articles are a lot more shareable on platforms like facebook and Reddit. The problem is that, as me...

Re: Playstation Vita thread

Getting a Vita and then being squicked out by sexual themes is right on par with going to a Hellraiser marathon when you feint at the sight of blood.

Re: Beginner friendly fighters with netplay

Higher end TVs are actually more likely to have display lag due to the extra post-processing and such. Anyway, I don't think having high input lag benefits having high display lag - it's just more lag on top of more lag. If it takes 5 frames for what's in the box to be displayed on the TV, then it t...

Re: Beginner friendly fighters with netplay

Out of curiosity, what are the SF V deal breakers? 8-frame delay, the single player modes (granted, I think all fighters outside of a few like the Soul Calibur and Tekken series have pretty mediocre single player, but the insultingly easy story mode and the hair-pullingly frustrating survival mode ...

Re: Playstation Vita thread

I just ordered a second PSTV, need to hook it up so I can play newer games on it without compromising any future PSTV hacks that come along.

Can't wait for Valkyrie Drive, but I guess I have no choice in that matter.

Re: Beginner friendly fighters with netplay

That's part of what I hate about modern fighters - they are needlessly complex in some areas and then they make things needlessly shallow in other areas for the sake of being beginner friendly, even though there's nothing beginner friendly about it. It's one of the aspects of SFIV I hated the most -...

Re: Beginner friendly fighters with netplay

I think all fighters these days are beginner friendly. Too beginner friendly. To the point where the games are about as deep as a puddle. If you want the easiest game on the market, it's probably KOFXIV. The game has been slowed to a crawl to such a point that a senior citizen can keep up with it, a...

Re: What are you playing?

I played a good chunk of Super Turbo. I don't feel that IV is anything like ST. ST is much faster paced and has far higher damage.

Re: What are you playing?

I've explained my hatred of SFIV til I'm blue in the face so I'm not going to bother again. I'll just leave it at, I'm glad it's finally gone. Currently playing Mother Russia Bleeds and loving it a bit too much, which is ironic I guess considering I was planning to refund it due to how frustrating i...
