Awesome! Sounds like you're on the right track. About wiping the HDD, I'm not 100% sure. But I don't think it'll wipe your game saves. I think upgrading the softmod will do just that. When that disc installs the new dash, I'm pretty sure it'll just clean out any old dashboards and install the new one.
