Re: Saturn Translation Project

My NTSC-J Saturn is the only console set up under my TV. Would love to see this get off the ground. I have to be honest and say I wasn't really planning on posting at racketboy again, but I saw you bumped this and thought I'd give this thread some closure. I was able to get some very good help from...

Re: How is your Dreamcast gaming going on?

I actually still have my old copy of AF:O laying around, do you guys know if there are still active private servers running it? there are not. The only DC games still playable online as of right now are: 4x4 Evolution Doom (homebrew port) Maximum Pool Online Phantasy Star Online V. 1 & 2 Planet...

Re: Top 5 RPGs

Lagoon and Aidyn Chronicles I liked, so screw X-Play. Never actually played Quest 64, though it probably doesn't deserve the reputation it gets either. The X-Play video sucked because there was no thought put into it. Like most of their content. It's as if they simply Google searched to find games ...

Re: How is your Dreamcast gaming going on?

Nice dude, was the AF:O complete like you hoped? Sealed! Props to SpoonyB for the headsup. I actually still have my old copy of AF:O laying around, do you guys know if there are still active private servers running it? I quit playing my DC games online when Sega shut down the free servers, it would...

Re: Top 5 RPGs

Is this the thread where everyone hipsters-out and tries their hardest to omit Chrono Trigger and FF6(3) because that's what those people do? (I jest) Anyhoo, my honest top 5 "RPGs": Hate away retrosnobs I'm ready for you! I really don't see the point in what you're getting at, though. Th...

Re: Sega Genesis & Saturn SCART to Component Advice & Suggus

I looked at that thread Anapan provided more closely. Has anyone ever had to buy a new Power Adapter for this converter to get things to work better? I read that the provided AC Adapter is junk and you should buy a better one. Or have to buy 75 ohm component cables? I use these cables . Some say 75...

Re: The Top 10 16-bit Games

I'm a huge fan of your videos Joe, and never got around to commenting, so I thought I'd jump in on this one as a fellow Sega fanboy. What I liked about this was that it was YOUR top 5, so it is getting me to revisit some games I haven't played in years (I already know everything I need to about Soni...

Re: Top 5 RPGs

This is a really tough one, and as much as I love Sega, 3/5 are PSX games. 1. Xenogears. Flawed, some would argue unfinished (at least the Perfect Works book is out there and has been translated, though). In spite of that, my favorite videogame score of all time, Mitsuda outdid himself on this one. ...

Re: Wii-U thoughts so far

I'd just be really curious to see what games feel like with a normal controller. My friend said it was hilarious playing Mario Galaxy with a 360 controller, because the second stick controlled the Wiimote pointer and it felt completely natural or even better. lol I couldn't tell you, I never actual...

Re: Wii-U thoughts so far

The only problem is Wii games aren't being emulated on Wii U. It runs Wii stuff in Legacy circuits. The only reason why it upscales the final image at all is because the GPU likely does it anyway. I think equating this to how Sony handled PS2 support on PS3 is not accurate. (Where they did indeed h...
