Re: rmal
rmal, looks like we have similar tastes in movies. Wes Anderson, Sergio Leone and City of God Have you seen Bottle Rocket? I'm always surprised how many people like Rushmore, Royal T, and Life Acquatic but don't know about Bottle Rocket. Of course I've seen Bottle Rocket, it's a very close second t...

Holy crap! I had no idea that it was posted to Digg and I just checked my server stats and realized that I've used 300 GB of bandwidth this month just for hosting Sega Visions and Nintendo Power issues 1. It's a good thing that I've got 1 TB of bandwidth, but I've taken the Nintendo Power down, and ...

It's going to take me a bit to get Issue 0 done because as it turns out the Official Sega Dreamcast Magazine is too wide to fit onto the scanner so I had to do two scans for every page. It's been fun to take the two scans and put them into one, so that's why it'll take a bit. But I've got the cover ...

This may just be me, but I hate dealing with PDF's. I prefer to view the raw images in on app like FastStone Image Viewer. It's just more responsive, and I prefer it's full screen mode. Great for reading comics on. This is kind of why I havent had much interest in this archiving project so far. I d...

How exactly to set up the archive?
I've expressed interest in the thread about the Official Sega Dreamcast Magazine and I will try to get the dummy issue (Issue 0 June 1999) scanned this weekend. What settings do you normally scan at? Then how do you throw the scans together into the PDF? I have Adobe Acrobat but never really use it ...

Yeah, it's a pretty small issue only about 30 pages if I remember correctly. I got it at Software Etc. when I preordered the Dreamcast back in '99. I'm going to my parents this weekend and my Dad has a scanner. If I can remember I'll try to get Issue 0 scanned and maybe have something ready by next ...
