Re: So the whole world is kind of falling apart...
All sides involved know what will happen if a conflict would really escalate. As for the World War I comparison, the world is in no way comparable to the one back in those years. The world is interconnected in so many ways so the masses will hesitate to blindly follow their leaders. And with the thr...

Re: Short games that can be beat on the FIRST run-through
The Stanley Parable comes to mind.
It takes just a few hours to beat it.
Other possible titles (although I haven't played them yet);
Superbrothers: Sword and Sworcery EP
Flower
Bastion

Re: FTL: Faster Than Light
Yeah for me! :p Growing from a total FTL noob to a veteran player, dying in every possible way and from countless mistakes: Finally finished FTL on normal (with the Basilisk). After unlocking every ship on Easy, I managed to beat this game at last. It had cost me around 80-90 hours though Now the wa...

Re: Time to play RPGs
That's a good idea! I do have plenty of RPGs on my handhelds that havent got much play time! This is basically the only way I play RPGs now. I have two children, a house, and a demanding career, but I was still able to sink 120+ hours into Dragon Quest IX a few years ago. Morever (and IMO), many of...

Re: Alienated DS User(s)
The original DS came out in 2004(!). And systems come and go. So Nintendo stopping supporting it isn't anything weird. The DS had tremendous software support in its lifespan. Many great games saw the light of day on this handheld. It may be even one of the best handhelds ever. Ofcourse 3DS games won...

Re: Wii-U thoughts so far
Everyday i get more excited for Mario 3D world, but before I pick it up I have to beat Galaxy 2...which is such an amazing game. Can't believe I've just left it on my shelf for 3 years. Damn backlog. Last week I've been playing SMG1 and 2. Already got 60 stars in SMG1 and 20 stars in SMG2. These ga...

Re: Does anyone play games based on moods?
My gaming life revolves around mood gaming. This doesn't mean that I'm angry or sad or whatever.
Do I want an adrenaline rush in my gaming session? Or am I looking for a vast fictional world which I can dump dozens of hours into?
