Re: Win 8 no start button, screwy app area

I tried in the Apps panel to go through explorer and cluster things I wanted together into a 'Good old Games' folder, and so on, and anything I dragged in there would then stop working on the apps panel until put back. When adding links to C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs, which...

Re: Why is shipping from China so effing cheap?

This article explains it, http://www.ecommercebytes.com/C/letters/blog.pl?/pl/2012/4/1334191984.html . The postage calculation for ePacket is per kilo base, and the domestic First Class Mail is per package base. Imagine: A Chinese Seller, who sell iPhone screen protector, weights about 50 grams (2 o...

Re: N64 S-Video Cables

I got a couple of the Monster cables a while back, probably in 2006 when they were on clearance at GameStop. They work well, but I had an issue with those when I had both the composite and s-video plugged in. It would make the video scramble. I suspect this depends on what equipment you have it runn...

Re: Pet peeves regarding video gamers?

Any pet peeves that involve video gamers. Nothing big like "laggers, hackers, rrod, trolls, lost connections, etc." • If you grew up with brothers and sisters who played video games, you probably experienced this. I hated this to death. My brothers would switch the orders of my game colle...

Re: Steam Controller

I can't see anything good coming out of this. Call me paranoid or wary but I don't trust Valve and this seems simply a move by the ruler of PC gaming to turn PC gaming into yet another console. And I don't think that's a good thing. I was thinking the same thing the other day. Steam is turning PC i...

Re: Together RPG - JRPG - Phantasy Star 2 - 7/11 -> 9/11

Do Moon Dews revive a dead character? I don't believe I ever used one. Star Mists are totally essential though. I didn't even bother to fight any battles in the final dungeon. Saved every 10 seconds or so and reset if I hit a random encounter. Cheap? Yes - but I reached Dark Force with full HP/MP/i...

Re: connection-speeds

Upgraded to a DOCSIS 3 modem a couple weeks back, saw a 50%+ increase in speed without changing plans. If you have cable and own your own modem i recommend looking into a newer modem.

For what it's worth, I never used items to cast GiRes, If you load up on Trimates and a couple Star Mists you should be fine. But I did keep one in each characters possession just in case.

Re: Together RPG - JRPG - Phantasy Star 2 - 7/11 -> 9/11

Since I don't own a Genesis, I was looking to see what platforms Phantasy Star IV was available on. I saw that II, III, and IV are available on steam, and are correctly categorized as platform games. hmmm.
