Upgraded to a DOCSIS 3 modem a couple weeks back, saw a 50%+ increase in speed without changing plans. If you have cable and own your own modem i recommend looking into a newer modem.

For what it's worth, I never used items to cast GiRes, If you load up on Trimates and a couple Star Mists you should be fine. But I did keep one in each characters possession just in case.
